You'll arrive at work and after a short team sync meeting - you'll look through the open tickets in the service desk and send some emails to employees who owe information on tickets. You'll spend 30 mins assisting a remote user with some application issues they're experiencing before your morning project meeting. In the meeting you update the project team on the work done in the past week on server application updates and two security configuration reviews you performed.
After lunch you meet with the Edinburgh, U.K. team on an upcoming change and discuss the impact to U.S. sites followed by some security audit work. You receive an alert from the SIEM system indicating a potential malware incident on a system in Los Angeles, CA. You triage the alert with the outstanding items on your plate and decide it's a priority. You connect to the remote system and begin speaking with the affected user. You resolve the alert and return to your work.
At the end of the day you send a summary email on the security incident to the team and end your day. YOUR EXPERIENCE General Corporate Experience You've worked in a professional environment for 3-5 years and understand general requirements, sensitivities, and expectations of that environment. You've worked with those at your level and those above you including demanding executive teams requiring exacting support. Your interpersonal skills are strong and you're able to function in most occupational settings and on customer sites. You know how to interact with others effectively within and outside of your team.
You understand the value of your time and can intelligently, effectively, and dynamically consider the expectations of those above and beside you with your entire task list. Managing several tasks at once is a simple function of work and not an overwhelming challenge for you.
Your knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Productivity Software (Adobe Acrobat Pro etc.) is strong. You have used these applications for several years in professional environments and understand how to use (and teach) most of their features to create, edit, and send high-quality work products. IT Experience You've worked as an IT Professional for 3-5 years in a small or mid-size company (Less than 1,000 employees) on a small or mid-sized team (10 or less individuals). You understand the changing requirements of growing businesses and know that priorities can quickly shift. You have experienced solving challenges with limited resources (time, money, and people) and thrive in that environment.
SUPPORT You have significant experience supporting employees solving IT issues stretching across all facets of a corporate IT environment. You've resolved hundreds of complex and simple tickets requiring remote and desk-side support. You are very comfortable with the support process and can easily integrate your experience in a new organization.
MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 You have administered office 365 in the past and understand how to create, edit, and remove users, control permissions and licensing, and troubleshoot issues. You have worked with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and other cloud applications and can easily operate within the tenant in support of the business.
NETWORKING You've deployed three or more networks in the past, you understand the OSI model and various network topology types and understand their capabilities and limitations. You've used requirements provided by nonIT personnel to procure and deploy network hardware in the past and are comfortable researching new technologies, practices, while maintaining existing infrastructure. Active or current Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI Ability to travel between sites and vendor locations (within the U.S. and Internationally) as needed  Able to lift and move IT equipment with reasonable accommodation up to 50lbs.  Must be able to pass all pre-travel requirements including a medical, psychological, background, credit and security screens as deemed necessary by any customer to be considered approved for International travel  Four-year degree from accredited university within the IT field or equivalent experience  Microsoft Productivity: Highly skilled with all traditional desktop and web versions of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Work, PowerPoint, and Excel) along with the ability to train others on them.  Windows 10: Highly skilled with various Microsoft OS versions but specifically Windows 10  IaaS/PaaS: Ability to understand, create, change, and manage services and hosts within the platform, clear understanding of security and operational configuration ability and requirements. (Azure Preferred)  ITSM: Proficiency with IT Service Management platforms including deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and execution of tasking resulting from alerts or incidents within the system. (Manage Engine Preferred)
