We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Accounting Assistant responsibilities include managing accounts payable, expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling accounts. Our idea candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vendor records
- Manage accounts payable throughout approval process
- Collect receipts/expense reports and reconcile with statements
- Process reimbursement forms/check requests
- Maintain lien waivers
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain job records
- Enter job budgets and update as necessary
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Maintain insurance records for subcontractors
- Maintain insurance records for company
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Assist Controller in any additional project as necessary
Skills
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
