The Night Shift Oncology Nurse will be part of a visionary team of professionals serving the community. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Oncology RN will follow a caseload of cancer patients across the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. The Night Shift Oncology Registered Nurse will work with a team of Navigators and should be experienced Oncology. As an essential component of the patient’s support system, the Oncology Nurse will be a primary point of contact and provide guidance and information to the patient in a time of great uncertainty. The Night Shift Oncology Nurse should possess at a minimum, their Bachelor's in Nursing, and have a strong knowledge of oncology. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oncology, and should be a 'people person'. OCN, ONN preferred.
The Night Shift Oncology Registered Nurse RN will follow a caseload of cancer patients across the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship as an essential component of the patient’s support system. The Oncology Nurse will present new diagnoses and follow up with cancer patients in the registry as well as the cancer screening program and collaborate with a network of primary care physicians for patient referrals.
