Under general supervision of the History Department chairperson and the Southern Studies and Center for Digital Humanities directors, the Business Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all departmental administrative budget/financial operations for the History Department, the Institute for Southern Studies, and the Center for Digital Humanities. In carrying out this responsibility, the Business Manager will, within the context of general unit policies and procedures, exercise substantial discretion and independent judgment in carrying out essential budgetary responsibilities and will act with substantial independence in ensuring the smooth operation of the office. The Business Manager will also work in coordination with the CAS Budget Operations team as well as University-level offices.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with PeopleSoft Finance and the University's Finance Intranet system.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
