Position Purpose: Merchandising of coffee, tobacco and water products in assigned retail stores by writing orders, keeping displays full, clean, neat and properly plan-o-gramed with correct retail signs and point of sale material.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the Department to meet targeted volume objectives by merchandising product in assigned retail accounts.
Writes orders for all commodities sold to maintain basic stock levels and promotional orders for feature ads.
Keeps displays clean, neat and organized with retail signs, coupons and point of sales information where applicable.
Effectively completes order forms, credits, delivery documents and requisition forms in a timely and accurate manner.
Effectively communicates with store level personnel and sales / merchandising management.
Works constantly on ways to be more efficient and effective, seeks constructive feedback with others and uses it to improve performance.
Other Duties & Functions:
Merchandises coffee and water products in assigned stores to help meet the department's annual case volume objectives. Coordinates promotions for tobacco products under the direction of the Tobacco Division Sales Manager.
Stocks coffee and water sections by flavor, type and size using a predetermined plannogram.
Writes orders to maintain basic stock levels and promotional orders for feature ads for all products sold.
Keeps display clean, neat, organized with retail signs and when directed, coupons, recipes, and point of sale information.
Credits out unsaleable or discontinued product and prepare necessary documents to process returns.
Picks up delivers and transfer product as needed to maintain stock levels.
Performs special projects as required by the Branch Manager.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with buyers and store level personnel and on occasion the general public in answering questions regarding the product, pricing and promotional information.
Maintains proper shelf retails and feature ad prices as communicated by the sales staff.
Communicates to management environmental changes as they affect the business.
Works to secure incremental sales by selling in store specials, increase shelf space and secondary display programs.
Monitor and recap sales results gained from various programs. Measure performance and make recommendations to the customer as well as to management as to the goals accomplished.
Work with junior level merchandisers to aid in training and share experiences.
Certificates & License:
Driver's license and drivers abstract, unless able to get around to satisfy job position, and ability to be insured.
