The Small Order Business Supervisor oversees and controls the packaging and shipment of small orders ensuring customer ship dates are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Monitors all orders being worked for accuracy and troubleshoots any problems that arise, ensuring proper communication to the necessary department heads and channels as applicable.
Ensures workload meets the scheduled hours for department employees, balancing schedules and working with other department heads regarding cross-training needs and/or coverage as necessary.
Assists Shipping Manager in routing procedures.
Processes packages for delivery to customers.
Supports all aspects of Direct to Consumer shipment processes.
Develops and implements training programs to support growth in the Direct to Consumer market
Ensures accuracy of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) requirements for EDI customers
Operates between five shipping computers.
Uses computer systems to create labels for packing and releasing of orders.
Reads and interprets vendor manuals and addresses questions from team as related to vendor manuals
Assists Shipping Manager in implementing long term strategies for a dynamic Ecommerce Business Channel.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Past work experience processing high velocity Direct to Consumer orders preferred.
Must be able to tactfully deal with various personalities throughout the company and deal effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Must be proficient in utilizing computer programs. Required program applications include: Microsoft Outlook (intermediate level), Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), Microsoft Word (intermediate level), and Apprise.
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screen.
