The medical office front desk receptionist mainly uses telephones and computers to communicate with patients, insurance companies, and staff, so they must have basic knowledge of computers and telephones. Working knowledge of EHR (Practice Fusion) is a plus. Medical office front desk receptionist must protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Medical office front desk receptionist must interact frequently with patients and other medical professionals, meaning they must have excellent communication skills and be personable. Seeking an individual who is self-motivated with attention to detail and able to work independently. Must have high school diploma or GED. GXMO (podiatry) license preferred, but not required. One to three years' relevant healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.
