We are seeking a positive, team-oriented candidate to provide exceptional customer service as they represent our bank to customers while processing transactions, responding to questions, referring our services, and contributing to a dynamic team environment. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with a general schedule of 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
This position provides exceptional customer service to existing customers and prospects. The Financial Services Representative (FSR) will open all deposit accounts, develop relationships, and cross-sell banking services utilizing a needs-based approach. The position will make joint customer and prospect calls with the branch manager, lender, and management as needed. The FSR will process transactions and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner. The position will serve as a backup to the Customer Service Representatives and may provide backup to the Customer Service Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Present, cross-sell, and open deposit accounts and other financial products and services.
Establish and maintain strong and ongoing relationships with all customers.
Interview new account customers and perform other functions such as setting up records, verifying references, and holding uncollected funds.
Meet with Customer Service Manager and/or Branch Manager consistently to discuss new customers, prospects, and follow-up plans.
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of current Bank products and services.
Maintain confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
Provide timely and accurate resolutions to account-related issues.
Provide backup to branch operations duties and functions.
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, enter all necessary information in data processing systems, issue receipts, cash checks utilizing appropriate verification standards and balance entirely and accurately.
Place holds on accounts as required and complete appropriate documentation for holds placed.
Answer a variety of customer inquiries and maintain a working knowledge of bank services.
Comply with Bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations.
