    Description

    Koniag Energy and Water (KEW) is looking for an experienced Business Development professional to support an aggressive growth strategy for KEW and its business entities.

    Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Identify, track, develop and win opportunities for Federal Government contracts primarily in automation, instrumentation & control solutions; Systems Integration services; Instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering; SCADA and database solutions; and Engineered Industrial stainless-steel fabrication services matching KEW's current and desired capability set
    • Build, develop, and manage relationships with key agency decision makers and partner executives primarily within strategic customer sets to promote the KEW value proposition and position the company to pursue and win prime opportunities and/or direct awards
    • Create and deliver effective client presentations and proposals that address the specific needs of a client. This will include market research capabilities briefings, white papers, RFI's, and RFP's
    • Collaborate with KEW's Executive Leadership Team in executing the company's sales process to achieve growth objectives
    • Qualify and win opportunities maturing through the Business Development Lifecycle
    • Prepare gate review materials with support from Capture team members
    • Track, monitor, and prepare for opportunities to be released in systems like GovWin
    • Track maturing of opportunities through KEW's CRM system
    • Understand the Client Market and Company offerings within all markets: local & Federal agencies, Civilian Agencies (Dept of State, Dept of Justice, Dept of Transportation, and Treasury) and private enterprise.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Minimum of ten (10) years of successful Federal Government Business Development experience
    • Experience with Business Development Lifecycle
    • Experience with Proposal Development and Pricing
    • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
    • Must be fully fluent in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word PowerPoint and Excel

    Position Requirements

    Office Location and Travel:

    Primary Office: Denver CO or Washington DC metro areas with 25-30% travel expectations as required.

    Working Environment & Conditions

    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
