                    Job Description



                    OVERVIEW

                    The Real Estate Closing Support Specialist will review all files received from Underwriting/Processing for completion and receipt of all necessary documentation prior to marking loans as Cleared to Close.

                    After loan closing and funding, the Closing Support Specialist will ensure that all loan files are received as fully executed packages and confirm all closing instructions were satisfied. They will monitor delivery and receipt of any trailing documentation and provide necessary documentation to Loan Servicing for the booking/onboarding of loans. Upon successful completion of all post-closing requirements, the Closing Support Specialist will transfer the funded loan application to the Loan Servicing department.

                    RESPONSIBILITIES
                    • Ensure VOE and AUS findings are accurate and current with the loan file, the loan amount/term/rate matches the DU/LP, and the loan program has not changed from the original lock
                    • Review loans in pre-closing status for regular updates
                    • Schedule loans in accordance with Credit Union procedures and requirements, understanding that the Credit Unions partner with different vendors and require, at times, different or additional documentation
                    • Review loan documentation for compliance with agency and Credit Union policies and procedures; confirm all conditions have been satisfied
                    • After closing, ensure all documents are current, complete and contain all appropriate/required information as pertains to the loan-Hazard Insurance, Title Commitment, Credit Report, Payee Codes, Escrow information, HMDA data, Flood Certificate, 4506T, and other documentation as necessary to complete the loan file
                    • Assemble applicable government package for insuring submission
                    • Additional job-related projects as assigned by Management
                    QUALIFICATIONS
                    • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required
                    • 1-2 years of first mortgage experience required
                    • Previous experience as a mortgage closer/funder preferred
                    • Knowledge of all recent RESPA, TILA and HMDA requirements is required
                    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
                    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
                    • Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail
                    • Prioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needs
                    • Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
                    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
                    • Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit
                    • Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team
                    • Positive attitude and team-oriented
                    • Ability to function in changing environment
