Job Summary Acts as key staff member for student leadership academic and co-curricular programs. Develops and coordinates programmatic efforts for LEAD academic and co-curricular programs including the Grand Challenges Living and Learning Community, assists in developing research, participates in professional conferences and provides public relations support. This job will interact on a consistent basis with: students, faculty and staff. This job typically will advise and counsel: students. This position will supervise: NA.Responsibilities <html><b><u>Job Duty 1 - </u></b>
Provide administrative support in day-to-day administration of programs and activities of academic and co-curricular programs.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 2 - </u></b>
Assists in curriculum development for non-degree-granting programs, workshops and in-service training and develops curriculum materials or teaching materials.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 3 - </u></b>
Assists with the daily operation of a small academic department within a school or college, primarily in the areas of human resources, compliance and financial management.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 4 - </u></b>
Coordinates and participates in minor activities including student employee selection and training.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 5 - </u></b>
Assists with preparation and development of budgets and financial reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds. Coordinates the overall program budgeting and accounting process.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 6 - </u></b>
Conducts in-service training, conferences and workshops.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 7 - </u></b>
Represents the department on business affairs and/or faculty affairs to the institution community.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 8 - </u></b>

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires knowledge and skills in systems and training program management, application of adult learning principles, facilitation, and application of associated techniques technologies; the ability to multi-task and skills in simultaneous project management. Knowledge of principles and practices associated with student development, cultural leadership dynamics and a broad range of engagement models in a higher education environment. Knowledge and skill in designing and implementing related programs within a research university setting is required as are skills in partnership building, leadership and communications.
