Sonbyrne Sales, Inc. retail division of Byrne Dairy and Deli, is looking for an experienced HR Generalist who is willing to grow with a family owned, operated and local company. Purpose of Position The Human Resource Generalist will assist with running the daily functions of the Human Resource Department including hiring staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave and enforcing company policies and practices. Human Resources Generalist Job Responsibilities: • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements. • Respond to human resources-related inquiries. • Assist with payroll processing. • Assist with benefit administration. • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation. • Develop and maintain talent management processes. • Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies. • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. • Maintain employee personnel records. • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years recruiting/human resource experience. • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resource management. • Proficient with Microsoft Office products. • Must be detailed oriented, highly organized and strong customer service skills. • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations • Ability to adapt to change in work assignments and environment, is willing to assume additional responsibility and learn new processes.
