Fulcrum is a Portland/Metro, Oregon construction company expanding and seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide coordination, planning, and supervision to our projects.

            Duties

            The Superintendent will be responsible for providing coordination, planning, and supervision to subcontractors, and craft activity project coordination:

            • Planning and implementation to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule

            • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability

            • Review and understand contract documents

            • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies

            • Experience in public and private sector jobs

            • Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals

            • Participate in the development and management of a project schedule to include three and six weeks look ahead schedules identifying conflicts in construction progress presenting it to the project team for resolution

            • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions

            • Develop a site logistics plan

            • Manage the utilization of Fulcrum tools and equipment

            • Coaching, supervisory, and development responsibilities

            • Conduct on-site project orientations

            • Conduct effective preconstruction planning sessions and project site meetings

            • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews

            • Ensure proper task coding of work hours on time cards

            • Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of Assistant Superintendent(s)

            • Manage and track work progress and craft productivity

            • Set and maintain schedule of weekly safety meetings, stretch and flex daily with Fulcrum crew and subs

            • Manage craft team member training, ensuring they are current prior to starting task

            • Conduct career development discussions with foremen and craft team members

            Other duties as assigned, include:

            • Provide high level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members

            • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions

            • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures

            • Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex projects

            • Detail orientation capabilities to organize and manage multiple project tasks

            • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices

            • Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level (Procore, Smartsheets, T-Sheets Preferable)

            • Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills

            • Ability to interpret and communicate Fulcrum policies

            ADDITIONAL DUTIES/SKILLS

            • Familiarity with technology and software to create on-site generated field reports/daily job logs, etc., using a tablet/computer

            • Constant mental alertness, accuracy and attention to detail

            • Must be able to work independently and make decisions with timely follow through on all assignment

            • Must use creativity, independent judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills for determination of best method and organization of work

            • Strong mathematical skills, calculating proper dimensions

            • Ability to resolve complex issues with a “can do” attitude

            • Read, write, read blue prints and manuals, speak English with strong communication abilities

            REQUIRED Qualifications

            • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience

            • Minimum eight years construction experience with 5 or more years of verifiable project history

            • Current driver’s license with an insurable driving record

            • Must pass Fulcrum Drug testing and all future random site testing

            Preferred Additional Qualifications

            • OSHA 30 Certification

            • First Aid/Certification a plus

            • Bi-Lingual desirable

            POSITION ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

            • Must be able to climb stairs/ladders

            • Hand/arm continual usage

            • Visual acuity and vision.,color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, eye/hand coordination

            • Hearing: ability to sufficiently hear conversation levels in person and over the telephone, alarms on equipment and construction site needed activity hearing and awareness

            • Lift/Carry up to 50 pound minimum

            • Flexibility to bend and twist safely with occasional kneeling, crouching or crawling
