• Perform in-process or final inspection on product using handheld or precision measuring equipment to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications • Isolate non-conforming product per procedures and determine disposition of product (re-work or scrap); communicate required adjustments to appropriate person • Document inspection results via logs and reports and input into appropriate computer database • Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jacks, forklift, crane, or hoist • Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment • Train incoming inspectors in processes and procedures • Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory Job Requirements: Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: • One (1) year applicable inspection experience Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions • Intermediate math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), including decimals and fractions and computer skills • Advanced knowledge of handheld measuring equipment (micrometer, caliper, level, etc.) • Basic knowledge of precision measuring equipment (Smartscope, CMM, Optical comparator, etc.) • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Ability to read and understand the relationship between drawings/blueprints and product • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
