This is an H2A order for Hops and hemp
This H-2A job opportunity is limited to qualified, available workers that are currently eligible to work in the United States, per federal regulation.
Mow, cut, and weed fields. Perform ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation, and other manual tasks. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Use hand tools including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies.
Use power equipment including but not limited to: tractors, planters, mowers, plows, sprayers, cultivators, power shears, chain saws, high lifts, fork lifts, skid loaders. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Clear debris from field and clean/maintain farm buildings, structures,equipment, and work areas. Assist with farm building/field maintenance and repairs. Build/repair fences.
Machine Operation: Drive/operate utility vehicles and row crop tractors. Mow/rake hop bines. Operate combines, pickers and/or dryers. Remove stems and other foreign material from clean hops, emptying and resetting kiln, sweeping and general cleanup of kiln. Perform trellis maintenance includingremoval of broken or damage poles, installation of new poles, cleaning and tightening of trellis cable and replacement or installation of anchors. Manually remove drip tubing from hop plants and place at center of the hill to avoid damage. Roll, tie, and install tube with utility vehicle and tubing roller. Re-tiebroken tubes to nearest string. Excess or repeated damage to drip tubes may result in suspension or discharge. Manually train (wrap) hop bines on string.
Training hops will require special care not to damage bine.
Pick up bines and hop clusters from ground behind combine and put into truck.
Cut balecloth with hot knife. Bale and sew hop bales. Stencil hop bales. Clean and sweep baler floor. Mix hops with pitchfork and push hops to pit.
Track harvest information on sheet.
Perform tasks involved with industrial hemp harvesting, drying and handling.
Three months of agricultural experience handling manual and mechanized tasks including operating agricultural equipment.
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
No worker will be paid less than the AEWR of $15.83 per hour
6 String Training (2nd training) $40.00 per acre
2 String Twinning $120.00 per acre
3 String Twinning $160.00 per acre
3 StringTraining(1st training) $63.00 per acre
The payroll period shall be weekly.
The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in theperformance of the specified work.
Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to theirplace of residence the same day.
Transportation costs to the job site for domestic workers from outside the local commuting distance of the job site willbe reimbursed by the employer after 50% of the contract period. In order to comply with the FLSA, the employer willadvance any amount owed prior to the first paycheck. Workers who do not complete 50% of the contract will have theadvance deducted from their final paycheck. Transportation costs from the job site to the workers home will beprovided to those domestic workers that complete the entire contract period.
Employer guarantees to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 or 75% of the workdays of the work contractbeginning with the first day of work.

Will work 9 hours per day, Monday through Friday and 5 hours on Saturday
