This position entails facilitating test scenarios between mobile devices and the 5G network and will involve defining meaningful test scenarios; configuring the mobile devices, RAN, and core network to execute those scenarios; capturing data at multiple points in the network during tests; and analyzing test captures to develop deep insight into communications between mobile devices and the network as well as interfaces between key network elements such as the gNodeB and the Next Generation Core.
Experience with cellular communications protocols as well as packet networks in general. Ability to learn 5G vendors' interfaces for configuring network elements as well as creating test capture points. Experience with packet capture and analysis tools such as WireShark. Experience with creating custom software for manipulating and/or extracting packet data in C++/Python/etc. Experience/familiarity with mobile operating systems such as Android OS.
