    Special Services Ed Tech III

    Full-Time (School Year)

    Program Overview:Promise Early Education Centeris a premier nonprofit early learning program in Central Maine that is dedicated to educating the whole child and preparing that child for success in school and opportunity beyond. Our Agency provides a SAFE, ENGAGING, AND EMPOWERING place for children to learn and grow. While offering a results driven educational curriculum taught be degreed teachers; and supports the engagement of parents and caregivers in their child's learning through partnership, communication and a commitment to the parent as primary educator. The Special Services Ed Tech III will work in a BRAND new Public Pre-K Special Purpose classroom. Promise prides itself in the care that we provide to the children and families we serve. The ideal candidate will have a high regard for quality services and support with an energetic attitude.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The Special Services Ed Tech III will work in a BRAND new Public Pre-K Special Purpose classroom. Promise prides itself in the care that we provide to the children and families we serve. The ideal candidate will have a high regard for quality services and support with an energetic attitude.

    • Providing support for children with special needs in a classroom environment as well as implementing Specifically Designed Instruction (SDI) on an as needed basis.
    • Exhibit high regard for adequate and accurate documentation of the assigned child's/children's program
    • Positively influence and interact with the child's/children while maintaining a strong understanding of safety/quality of service.
    • Actively participate and provide behavioral supports based on each child's/children's individual treatment plan's which may include supporting IEP/IFSP
    • Adheres to all requirements in accordance to the Individuals with Disabilities Educational Improvement Act (IDEA) of 2004 and Maine Unified Special Education Regulations Chapter 101.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education preferred butnot required.
    • Ed Tech III Required: Position is in partnership with Public Pre-K and CDS and requires an Ed Tech III through the Maine Department of Education.
