We are looking for culinary professionals to join the heart of the house at our location in Fort Worth: Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Lead Cook maintains a well-stocked, clean, food safe environment for our guest while overseeing cook staff to ensure kitchen runs smoothly.
The Lead Cook is also responsible for:
-Supervising other cooks and kitchen staff.
-Verifying food requirements for established menus and orders as needed.
-Regulating temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
-Following established menus.
-Observing and testing foods being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing with fork if needed to determine if cooked properly.
-Washing and preparing fruits and vegetables for use in menus.
-Cutting, trimming, and de-boning meat as needed.
-Baking bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries when needed.
-Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Successful candidates must possess at least one year experience as a cook in a high volume kitchen, leading and supervising others.
