Responsibilities A mid-level position that requires in-depth knowledge of the Commercial Background Investigation (CBI) process, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Security Information Management System (SIMS) database where accuracy and attention to detail is required. Additional daily functions include contractor badging, coordinating and preparing security briefings, processing incoming and outgoing classified visits, processing Common Access Card requests and other related items. Assists with highly visible Visitor Service Center administration to include access control, badging and ensuring security policies. Performs diversified and complex clerical administrative work for the Department. Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, service oriented with the ability to work under pressure, be a self-starter and work well with all levels of management and staff. Additionally, the candidate must provide exceptional customer service and professionalism. Essential Functions: * Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Draper's Personnel Security function for contractors and consultants to include all badging actions. Manage the new hire and termination processes to include security briefings, badging and data entry. * Coordinate replacement badge requests and provide assistance to all Draper employees/contractors. Manage and ensure compliance of the Background Investigation program for all contractors. Monitor expiring contracts and notify contractors of renewals, terminations and badge requests. * Assist with the day-to-day operations of Draper's Personnel Security function for employees, contractors and consultants to include security briefings, badging actions and other related tasks. Complete and perform incoming and outgoing classified visits while ensuring accuracy. * Assist, collect and review personal documents to establish identity and employment verification. Assist with replacement badge requests and provide assistance to all Draper employees/contractors. Assist with all Visitor Service Center functions. * Manage and ensure success of MIT Professional Summer Program. Ensure and coordinate day-to-day accuracy to database systems by ensuring proper tracking and data entry. * Assist with the new hire and termination processes to include security briefings, badging and data entry. Maintain and assist with the execution and tracking of security briefings to include, but not limited to, CNWDI/NATO. * Assist with processing Common Access Card (CAC) requests, database management and reverification requests. Qualifications * Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, service oriented with the ability to work under pressure, be a self-starter and work well with all levels of management and staff. * Security clearance preferred. Must meet requirements and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. A minimum of 1-3 years of directly related experience. * Working knowledge of business software such as DSX, JPAS/DISS, SIMS, Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
