This job is a Federal Work Study,non-benefited position in the Library at the Alpharetta - North Fulton campus. Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded program by the Department of Education. This program provides part-time jobs for undergraduate students with significant financial need and is administered by the FWS Coordinator, and the Office of Financial Aid, in accordance with the law, federal regulations, and with instructions from the United States Department of Education.
Salary: $8:00 - $11:00 per hour.
Hours: Must be able to work during library open hours Monday -Thursday 8 am - 6:30 pm and some Fridays 8 am - 4pm
Must be eligible for funds through the Federal Work Study Program for the current semester and be in good academic standing. Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and be able to handle confidential information.
Candidates must be available approximately 20 hours per week. Flexibility is mandatory.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, must be able to file accurately, use computer programs and office machines, and use telephone. Ability to handle multiple tasks; use proper judgment in directing questions to appropriate staff for assistance.
Job Description Summary:
Under close supervision, provides clerical support and office assistance to Library. At the direction of assigned supervisor, provides assistance to internal and external customers.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
1. Assists in organizing and executing routine activities and special projects; provide assistance to internal and external customers; other duties as assigned.

1.2 Assist department personnel as needed.
1.3 Provide assistance to internal and external customers.
