Shipping Role:
• Efficiently and accurately pick, pack and ship single item and bulk orders
• Pickers – read pick list, pick the product from shelves, scan from inventory system, place in outbound area
• Packers – double-check pulled product, pack into appropriate shipping boxes, tape the box and place in outbound area
• Verifies - Inspect all outbound orders for accuracy, quality, and damages. Report issues manager
• Shipment coordinators – coordinates shipments with carriers, such as FedEx, UPS, or USPS by choosing the least expensive, creating tracking information for labels, puts freight label on package, sorts by FedEx, UPS, or USPS freight pallet to be shipped
• Report any discrepancies found
Other duties include:
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Contribute to daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations
• Responsible for inventory management in an accurate and timely manner
• Verification of the item against picking list and system if necessary. (RF scanner)
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
• Perform other tasks as needed
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene rules
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High School Diploma (GED) or higher
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Ability to work overtime when required & meet deadlines
• Ability to critically think through problems with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
• Good organizational and time management skills
Physical demands
• Must be capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. Includes push, pull, squat, bend, stand and reach
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to utilize pallet jacks to move pallets and boxes
