Job Title: HR Manager

Summary:
Manager of the human resources department, and part of the leadership team. Responsible for all elements of employee relations, satisfaction and engagement. Ensures compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Create and implement all human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
Ensure all policies, procedures and practices comply with local, state and federal regulations.
Manage all employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation and training.
Manage entire staffing process including hiring, onboarding, termination and exit interviews.
Determines ways to improve company culture and reduce turnover.
Develop recruiting tools and processes that deliver cost-effective, high-quality candidates for selection.
Negotiate with staffing agencies, benefits providers and other suppliers to generate cost savings.
Manages employee investigations and disputes in a way that minimizes risk for the company.
Coordinates administration of workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
Analyze and recommend compensation programs that are market-competitive and drive employee satisfaction.
Develop employee appraisal and promotion process. Facilitate management team to conduct performance reviews, create development plans and implement improvement plans as needed.
Ensure that the company is in compliance with government employment regulations including I-9s, Federal and State employment posting requirements, EEO-1 Report, Vets-100 Report, State New Hire Reports and State Labor Statistics.
Drive culture and engagement through award/recognition programs and community-building events.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Department Manager/Supervisor.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in human resources, organizational leadership, psychology or related field.
5+ years management or supervisory level experience in human resources.
Experience in all facets of HR, including employee relations, benefits, payroll, staffing and policy development.
Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
Experience in a manufacturing and/or GMP environment preferred.
Ability to work under pressure, react appropriately under constantly changing priorities with numerous interruptions.
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees while remaining confidential.
Computer skills, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power point) as well as HRIS system.
Detail orientation with exceptional accuracy.
Prefer bilingual in Spanish.
