Job title: Business Management Operations Engineer

Duration: Direct Hire

Compensation: $95,000-$115,000/annually DOE

 

Business Management Operations Engineer is an individual contributor who provides the needed support to Sales and Business Development to sell products to the market by understanding customer requirements and Sales/Business Development strategies that enhance customer adoption of company products and solutions.  This position is responsible for managing order fulfillment process including system configuration (OSF), pricing, Quotation, BOM release, UTBM management and working with various functional groups in the business unit as well as manufacturing operations to deliver products to customers on time.  The primary focus of this role is for repeat orders of established customer bases while providing support to Business Development for new business opportunities & new product penetrations.  The Business Operations Engineer is accountable for achieving revenue & gross margin goals and on-time release of quotation, OSF and BOM.  

 

Responsibilities: 

• Business Development Support – Develop good working relationship with Business Development to assist in OSF, quotation and tool slotting for new customer & product penetration.
• Manufacturing Operations Support - Work with Sales, Business Development and Product Marketing to manage UTBM to support factory capacity planning, production slots and milestones to ensure on time delivery
• Quotations - Generate quotations and commercial proposals to ensure product pricing and gross margins meet business requirements
• Customer RFQ - Respond to customer’s RFQ & coordinate Specifications response by working with Global Product Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Legal and other functional groups
• System Configurations - Provide accurate customer configuration requirements (OSF) and Order BOM to Manufacturing to complete order fulfillment cycle
• Business Operations Processes – Optimize, harmonize and improve Order fulfillment process to streamline tool order-to-delivery cycle to meet customer request and improve company’s top and bottom lines.

 

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field required, Masters preferred
• Knowledge of hardware processes
• SAP
• 4+ years of Quotation generation experience.
• 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry or process experience
• Financial or Business experience, exposure and knowledge
• Product knowledge - semiconductor related equipment and/or process knowledge
• Financial Acumen including costing and pricing analysis
• Problem solving skills
• Working closely with key stakeholders to gather information to meet customer requirements
• Sense of urgency to ensure timely response to meet external and internal customer requirements
