    SAIC is seeking a highly motivated, strong, multi-disciplinary (well-rounded) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Systems Architect to assist with the engineering design, development, and implementation to an existing mission system leveraging public cloud services. This individual will bring new enhancement ideas and perspectives to the program. The candidate will work in an environment that is highly reliant on emerging technologies. The candidate will be expected to provide independent working ability as well as teamwork skills to provide resilient and creative solutions. Team members are expected to develop new functionality as well as provide recommendations/upgrades to existing systems. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily operations and maintenance, which includes assisting with the extension, enhancement, refactoring, and architecture of the existing operational system and responding to a variety of ad hoc requests.

    Responsibilities include:

    New development as well as O&M to existing public cloud infrastructure

    Support and enhancement of public cloud infrastructure

    Development of scripts for automation purposes

    Customization and configuration of COTS products

    Configuration of cloud hosted load balancers, routing tables, NAT gateways, VPC peering connections, VPN appliances, and other cloud-related IaaS services

    Coordination with senior managers, technical personnel, partners, and customers



    Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer science, Engineering, or related field

    Minimum of 20+ years related experience in some/all of the following areas:

    • Demonstrated experience in designing, securing, and automating thedeployment of both Windows and Linux environments
    • Demonstrated experience working with Amazon Marketplace AMI's
    • Demonstrated experience writing Linux shell scripts (bashpreferred)
    • Demonstrated experience in drafting and contributing to a fullrange of architectural and engineering documentation, such as System SecurityPlans or other related program documents
    • Demonstrated experience with event correlation and root causeanalysis skills
    • Demonstrated experience with development and/or maintenance oflarge scale enterprise programs which include the integration of COTS solutions
    • Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Demonstrated experience with Splunk Enterprise to include softwareinstallation, forwarder configuration, and Splunk App deployment(s)
    • Demonstrated experience with host-based and/or endpoint protectionconfiguration
    • Demonstrated experiencewith network security best practice configuration in cloud computingenvironments
