Lincoln Creek Lumber Company has been a family owned and operated company since 1903. Starting out as a mill and moving to reselling lumber after closing the mill during the great depression. In 1971 we joined the Ace Hardware co-op and now have four stores, Lincoln Creek Lumber in Tumwater and Centralia, Palmer Lumber in Chehalis and Market Street Ace Hardware in Chehalis. General Summary As a Stock and Inventory Associate you will contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and helping to manage the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner for multiple locations during the week. Travel is required stores are from Tumwater to Chehalis. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Check merchandise and supplier deliveries for accuracy, verifying that quantities received match bills of lading, purchase orders, and other documents. • Maintain ongoing and proactive communication with key partners about new arrivals, order overages and shortages, and damaged incoming goods. • Process transfers, damaged merchandise, and returns. • Pull items from storage, physically move them, stock shelves, and fill displays. • Organize the stock room or warehouse, and ensure that accurate labeling, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness are maintained. • Project a positive representation of Ace Hardware. • Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store. • Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates. • Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively. • Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance. • Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location. Education/Training • High School or GED equivalent. Experience • Stocking experience preferred. • Customer service experience preferred. Physical Demands • Standing, walking, lifting (up to 60 pounds) and climbing.
