It makes sense to have the location for the dispatcher to work to be in the Ski Patrol Building. A desk top computer with access to internet and Microsoft Office programs is a must A radio (maybe two) and a phone line (X5501) are essential supplies for this position.    Shifts for this position need to be 7 Days a week; approximately 66 hours a week.  Weekends & Holidays: 6am to 430p (10.5 hrs) and Mid-Week: 7am to 430p (9.5hrs).  It is very important to have this person available and ready to work around or before the lift mechanics head out to start up lifts.   Logistics to Work Out: How to properly transport Sun Bowl Operators to stations given current Covid regulations Are there designated snowmobile routes? Implement and communicate these. Patrol documentation, procedures, protocols, etc. Hiring and training for this position Edit documentation (logs) file(s) if needed Note that if top lift operators can't be transported via snowmobiles because of Covid; We can transport them up the lift they are scheduled to work so they can be trained to clear the line.  If this becomes the case, Lift Operations will need access to several more radios.  Currently, in LM and LO we have, I believe, 9 radios.  I think having 3 more would be helpful.  These will have to be wiped down & disinfected between each line clear use. OR patrol can continue to do line clearings because they already have their own personal radios (that won't have to be cleaned after every use); however, then that means patrol needs to show up sooner so that the top lift operator can load 10 chairs behind them and still have time to do the top operator checks before scheduled opening time. We need to decide where to store these files on the computer, who will have access; each day the file will be 'saved as' under pertaining date. What is the designated call list in the event of a lift down situation longer than 10 min.?   *As Safety Chairman, I hope to implement a place where employees or guests can email safety concerns and/or precautions anonymously.  These emails will then be screened by the dispatcher and forwarded accordingly.   We can't help but smile when someone says "Sun Bowl." We can show you why. We came for the winter but stayed for the summer. We came for the summer but stayed for the winter. Some days we ski through lunch. Some days, lunch lasts all day. We love rosy cheeks, hot chocolate, chili, and beer. We laugh a little louder. We love to ski when the sun shines. We love to ski when it doesn't. The last run of the year is as sweet as the first. We are Family. We are Fun. We are Sunapee.   www.vailresortscareers.com Vail Resorts is an equal opportunity employer.
