The Manager, Safety and Security:

• Is responsible for the overall development and management of comprehensive Safety and Emergency Management Programs for St. Joseph's Health System or Morton Plant Mease Health Care.
• The manager will provide consultation for BayCare as needed or warranted.
• General job duties include: Safety Council Chairmanship, Maintaining JCAHO Readiness by EOC Management Plan Development and Implementation, Hazard Surveillance and Mitigation.
• Ensures other regulatory compliance (i.e. OSHA, AHCA, SARA Title III and other agencies).
• Maintains appropriate Hazard Communications and Monitoring program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Required specific skills also include industrial hygiene practices, inspection techniques, and safety management principles, as well as life safety inspection techniques.
