THIS POSITION: Specializes in CURRENT PLANNER duties and provides planning and zoning related information to the public and reviews permits for compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
$22.21 to $24.49 per hour depending on experience

DO YOU QUALIFY?
Have you graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Geography, Landscape Architecture, Urban or Regional Planning, or related field?
Do you have 2 years relevant planning experience in the public or private sector?
Note: A Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of relevant planning experience.
Certification in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred
Do you possess or have the ability to possess a driver's license and be insurable?
THE CURRENT PLANNER POSITION IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF:
You understand, can interpret and apply state and county ordinances and regulations
You are able to review various department applications for subdivision, minor amendment, variance, zone change, conditional use permit, special notice permit, cottage industries etc.
You are able to do extensive research and compile data
You have excellent oral and written communication skills
You are organized, able to set priorities and meet critical deadlines in a high volume environment
Have a working knowledge of ArcView and ArcGIS software
