Responsible to ensure that the food service operation is safe, profitable, meets or exceeds set goals and budgets, shows a commitment to individual store employee development based on employee training, maintains a high level of customer service, and overall company success. Must manage the food service concept by demonstration of expertise in food safety, food service financial management, inventory control, employee training and development, and ensures employees maintain professional guest interaction and portray company image with proper uniform standards.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Minimum one year experience as a Cliff's Local Mrkts Sales Associate or one year experience in Food Service and the restaurant industry, preferred, successful completion of all company sponsored Sales Associate, applicable RTO, and food-related training; ability to provide exceptional customer service; candidates may also be required to successfully complete additional certifications for this position to include, but not limited to, ServSafe or equivalent Food Service program, franchise-specific certification (e.g. Subway) and Alcohol Certification (ABC), Tobacco Certification.
Employee interviewing and selection of Food Service personnel performs employee reviews, evaluates employee productivity and efficiency, recommending employees for promotions or any other changes in status. Develops work schedules that do not exceed labor hours budget. Employee training to standards set forth by training aids and manual. Directs and plans employees' work to coincide with the Food Service concepts as defined by the branding entity. Maintains sales goals and margin goals. Administers disciplinary action when warranted and determines proper action to take within the guidelines of company policy, and is accountable to Store Manager. Determines and orders the food and supplies necessary to maintain appropriate levels. The employee must be actively involved in food safety training according to Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Interacts with Federal, State, County or local representatives to maintain all necessary certifications, and follows all regulations as dictated by said agencies. Responsible for monitoring and improving the health and safety of employees and the general public. Coordinates sales promotion activities, and manages customer complaints.
