Job Description

Brief Description Seeking an experienced senior voice engineer to provide voice network engineering support for Cisco IP Telephony, Cisco Contact Center implementation and engineering support for Enterprise Network organization. Detailed Description bull Senior Voice engineer responsible for providing leadership with technical design, implementation and validation services for the enterprise wide platforms related to Cisco IP telephony (CUCM), Expressway, Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), Cisco Unity Connection, Voice Gateways, and Cisco Contact Center (UCCE). bull Plans, designs, research's and architect's voice systems and solutions maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and telecom network technology and implements modifications as required. bull Provides Tier 34 engineering support for all UC UCCE related applications. bull Creates and maintains documentation for VoIP telephony related processes. bull Creates all required technical documentation in accordance with Change Control and project management processes and procedures. Basic Qualifications bull Bachelor's degree bull Min 7 years hands on experience and technical knowledge of environments utilizing Cisco IP Telephony, Cisco Contact Center, IVR and Call Recording including consulting, design, configuration, deployment, documentation and support Preferred Qualifications bull Good understanding of communications protocols technologies such as SIP QoS QSIG G.711 G.729, SRST, CUBE private line services from T1 to DS3 and SIP is required. bull Must have a high degree of technical expertiseprofessional mastery to recommend process improvements. Is often consulted by peers and seen as the informal leader on tactical problems. bull Articulates the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues. bull Frequently anticipates problems and analyzes ways to mitigate the risk. bull Cisco Routers and Switches bull Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design bull Advanced understanding of performance and monitoring bull Advanced troubleshooting skills bull Configure base CUCM components, such as device pools, Call Manager groups, and other common elements. Build dial plans including route patterns, route lists etc bull Investigate and respond to alarms raised by monitoring tools on systems bull Strong understanding of dial plans, device pools, media resources bull Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to work both independently and in a group bull Experience in an enterprise environment is required bull Should have demonstrated behaviors as a team player, critical thinking skills, accountability and taking ownership bull Previous bankingfinancial industry experience is a plus bull One of the following certifications CCNA, CCNP, CCIE is a plus EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
