The University of Miami Hospital Food Services Team has an exciting full time opportunity for a Food Service Supervisor. This position is primarily for the Noon-8:30PM Shift to include weekend coverage(Every other Saturday and Sunday,) however shift may vary based on onboarding/orientation schedule and/or Departmental needs.
The Individual in this role supervises the handling of all cash transactions and charges according to established policies and procedures. Ensures that costs do not exceed the amount of money allocated for food service. Inspects cafeteria to insure proper health and sanitation standards are maintained. Ensures that all federal, state, and local health codes for food service operations are followed. Assures supplies and food items are replenished and sustains inventory for daily operations. Assists service staff during mealtime and greets residents and guests. Oversees that all set up and breakdown procedures for food and equipment are maintained. Communicates and enforces safety regulations. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Associate degree in relevant field required
Certification and Licensing:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
