                Job Description

This non-profit medical center is actively interviewing for a Nurse Director to oversee Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Accreditation in Southern Oregon. Join this experienced leadership team in a challenging and enriching role that will help pave the road to outstanding performance for years to come.

This growing non-profit health care system is looking for an experienced manager to promote and sustain an integral department. Serving in a role that’s equal parts administrator, educator, and leader, the Quality Risk Management Nurse Director will play a central role in the effective and efficient operations of this community medical system.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and working closely with the Hospital Medical Director, the Director of Quality, Risk, and Accreditation Management will develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address issues at the core of every acute care hospital environment; issues such as patient and staff safety, the collection and reporting of quality data, ensuring that proper infection prevention processes are in place, and acting as the lead for TJC Survey proceedings and accreditation.

The Director of Nursing Quality and Risk will spearhead and oversee multiple, complex program aimed at overall process improvement throughout the medical center and the health system.

                • Overall Quality Measurement & Improvement: Working in collaboration with Nurse Leadership, you’ll develop and evaluate quality programs to deliver the highest quality patient care and employee satisfaction.
                • Overall Process Improvement: serve as the hospital’s subject matter expert on the integration of LEAN processes throughout the hospital’s departments.
                • Regulatory Accreditation: the Director must have strong experience with surveys and regulatory reporting to The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as state DPH. This person will own the mock survey and regulatory readiness processes, and will work closely with unit leaders to ensure the hospital is operating optimally.
                • Risk Management / Mitigation & Employee Health: Working with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll stay abreast with current trends in best practices to ensure the safety of patients, as well as the hospital’s employees and administrators
                • Infection Control: planning infection control activities both for individual departments and hospital-wide initiatives, collect and analyze infection data

Home to an affordable cost of living, fantastic schools, and a tight knit community fabric, the Southern Oregon area is a great place to call home. The Nurse Director of Quality and Accreditation will find the rocky Pacific coast, studded with breathtaking beaches, you’ll find deep evergreen forests just waiting to be explored, and you’ll find sport that takes advantage of all this majesty. For the times you need a bit of excitement, the Portland Metro Area is just a short drive away. There, you’ll find all the sights, sounds, culture, and cuisine you’d expect from a major metro area.

Supported by a progressive and experienced leadership team, the Accreditation and Quality Nurse Director will serve the mission, vision, and values of this health system. You’ll work in a complex and challenging role, and you’ll be rewarded with a competitive compensation and generous benefits package.
