Working under the supervision of the ReStore Manager and/or ReStore Supervisor, responsible for day-to-day type retail related responsibilities and operations of the VVHFH ReStore. The intended purpose of the restore is to sell a wide selection of new, blemished, and useable quality building materials, furniture and housewares at low prices (50-75% below retail) through the operation of a retail warehouse owned and operated by the Affiliate. Proceeds benefit the construction of houses in the area served by Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity.
The ReStore Associate reports directly to the ReStore Manager and/or ReStore Supervisor and interacts with the staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, affiliates and donors and requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all.
Opening & Closing duties including unlocking public and work areas.
Donation receiving adhering to VVHFH ReStore Operations Manual acceptable donations; unloading from donors’ vehicles and placing in warehouse for processing.
Donation sorting, cleaning, checking and pricing; pricing according to VVHFH ReStore Operations Manual pricing guidelines; repairing as necessary and when time permits.
Stocking donations in proper merchandising areas in the ReStore.
Assisting customers with general questions, sales and loading purchases on their vehicles; providing courteous and prompt service.
Assisting VVHFH truck driver with unloading donations from and loading merchandise into VVHFH trucks for delivery.
Assisting VVHFH truck driver with delivery and pick-up routes.
Maintaining cleanliness of employee workshops, receiving and warehouse areas, yard and customer parking lots by sweeping, picking up trash, using metal sweeper, breaking down cardboard, emptying trash cans and breaking down items that need to be disposed of.
Maintaining cleanliness of the ReStore by sweeping floors, cleaning display areas, emptying garbage and recycling bins and ensuring merchandise aisles are free of clutter and debris.
Assisting with basic maintenance of property.
Ensuring ReStore areas are properly secured at all times.
Other duties as needed and deemed necessary by ReStore Supervisor or ReStore Manager.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
Ability to draw and interpret graphs and visual resources to measured successes and progress.
