Department / Function Client Acquisition Function associated with (and is part of): Client Acquisition Team 1.JOBTITLE: Head - Business Development - NAFTA POSITION REPORTS TO: JOB OVERVIEW &PURPOSE PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES Accountabilities Major Activities Key Performance Indicators Business Development in the NAFTA region Participate in creating the BD strategy for the NAFTAregion along with the Head of ClientAcquisition Scout the market for more high potential/varied opportunities in the NAFTAregion Scan the market for growth trends and leverageopportunities Explore opportunities for penetrating into markets like Automotive PV segment, Recreational Vehicle, Commercial Vehicles, EV market, joint ventures and products of thefuture Work on new business pitches for existing/reviving lost customers to grow the revenue pipeline across theglobe Review the sales pipeline along with the head of client acquisition to track actuals vs planned businessdevelopment numbers and take corrective action where required Revenue increase (existing business) asper definedmargin Revenue generated(new business) as per defined margin No. of new business opportunities found to beviable RFQ Conversion For new business pitches, develop business cases with details like market size, addressable markets, targeted marketshare, ROCE and risksassociated Prepare the marketing pitch, RFQ in consultation with theHead of Client Acquisition and other internal stakeholders OEM vendors within the standard timeperiod For shortlisted companies, conduct feasibility studies and present competitive pricing from 'day1' No. of new opportunities identified that got converted to projects (quote turn-aroundratio) % improvement in RFQ conversion rate Program Management Launch new projects in full stride aiming for on-time delivery and perfectquality Share weekly updates with time-based charts and data in an organized fashion with customers Operate as the lead point of contact for critical matters. Serveas the primary link of communication between the customer and BU in India Project timelines vs projected Project businessvolume vsprojected Track business trends in Customer organizations, reportramping up trends or emerging / potential risks associated with customer business / keyaccounts Report customer-scorecard and customer-concerns to theHead of ClientAcquisition Report growth orrisks associatedwith customers' businesses Creates and manages relationships at the key decision-making levels and oversee delivery Hold client engagement meetings. Assess, clarify, andvalidate customer needs from time to time. Visit key decisionmakers. Work closely with the client organization and the SBU Head(s)to set up mutual performance objectives - delivery and quality management process and reviewsystems Acts as a point of escalation for the client on anyproblems, pending decisions and concerns to maintaintrust Co-ordinate (and if required escalate) with Indian counterparts to resolve customer grievances andissues Revenue increasefrom existingclients Adherence to performanceobjectives for customeraccounts Number of customer issues escalated to Indian counterparts MIS on customer complaintsversus resolutions. Team Work Create geographical alignment with the auto, componentsand off-highway business units to achieve the revenue and growth targets Collaborate with key account managers in India to get introduced to the counterparts of Indian customers inNA Collaborate with the SCM teams in India to buildsustainable OEM relationships forNAFTA Collaborate with related functions like R&D, Technology etc., thus creating a participativeculture Work towards meeting hiring and talent management targetsset in collaboration with the HR team Number of new leads leveraged as a resultof existing Indian relationships No. of OEMrelationships leveraged forNAFTA MAJORCHALLENGES INTERACTIONS InternalInteraction External Interactions Job Role you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work Prospective Customers: For possible new business opportunities /tie-ups Current Customers: To ensure client delight and explore the possibility of increasing revenue fromthem Consultants and agents: To identify and enter into newopportunities/clients OEMs/Vendors: To understand their price quotations especially for newbusinesses MBA in Sales and Marketing(Full-time) Skills and Knowledge and Educational Qualification FunctionalSkills Business Understanding ProjectManagement RelationshipManagement Negotiation StrategicThinking Exposure to Quality Management Systems, IATF(desirable) Technical knowledge of productfamily BehavioralSkills Collaboration to create win-win Interpersonal and communication skills Relevant and total years of Experience 5-8 years' of experience in sales and marketing or experience in business development in a manufacturingsetup.
