Position Summary: The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in overall restaurant management. Assist in directing staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Helps with recruitment, interviewing, and training processes. Responsible for assisting with inventory and money control systems. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position. Essential Job Functions: TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: • Be professional, friendly and helpful to customers, vendors, and other employees. • Follow Company policies, as well as comply with all Federal and State laws. • Work alone or with others with minimal direction. • Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed. • Assist the Manager in recruiting and training positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service. • Develop, manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the store is clean, organized, adequately stocked, and well kept based on Company standards. • Performs paperwork duties and assists with product orders and inventory as needed. • Must be able to work any & all areas of the restaurant and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. • Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Minimum Position Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred but not required. • A minimum of one (1) years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Able to meet physical demands of the role with or without reasonable accommodation
