                    Job Description

                    As an experienced Agile Coach and Scrum Master, you will act as a servant leader for your teams by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. Our Scrum Masters are open, approachable, collaborative and enjoy working with passionate people. They are proactive in solving problems to help their team(s) succeed. The Scrum Master drives Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. They embrace agility as a practice and are constantly leading their teams in progressing that agenda and influences outwardly across teams and orgs to embrace and drive change. Additionally, the Scrum Master is responsible for removing any and all impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and has a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.

                    As a Vice President Scrum Master and Agile Coach, your mission is to help a product team to unlock their agile potential to deliver next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your expertise in various domains including lean, culture, collaboration, facilitation, process improvement and a focus on delivering value will be counted on to set direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally.

                    Primary Responsibilities Include:
                    • Has the ability to influence multiple teams across a product group in a complex and ambiguous environment
                    • Coaches the benefits of working in an agile manner to all employees and all levels of Sr. Leadership within span of influence
                    • Actively mentors and coaches Scrum Masters within a Product Group(s) to foster collaboration across the teams, to experiment and find new ways to improve team productivity quickly.
                    • Assist in implementing Transformation vision & strategy
                    • Engages with the Development teams, Scrum Masters, Product Team and Product Owners to coach agile practices and the events/techniques required for continuous improvement by the teams in an Agile product development organization
                    • Work with Product Owners to use the right processes to create a successful product by:
                      • Defining product scope, guiding principles and roadmap
                      • Understanding the customer, getting feedback to drive product development
                      • Building and maintaining a healthy backlog
                      • Organizing interactions with stakeholders
                      • Forster and drive an understanding of the importance and impact of NFRs, Cyber and Risk backlogs, and other technology items that are part of the cost of product ownership.
                    • Embraces the concept of continuous learning in own journey and drives in the teams across the group by:
                      • Protecting the team from churn
                      • Driving velocity improvements
                      • Lowering defect density
                      • Promoting towards ever increasing deployment frequency
                      • Assumes ownership role in the team and has shared accountability with the team on delivery and continuous improvements
                    • Assist Product Group(s) with resolving Impediments
                    • Enables and ensures clear communication to help the Product Group(s) to meet its goals.
                    This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
                    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
                    • Expertise with Agile and Scrum Frameworks and their application in Product Development and delivery organization
                    • Ability to coach and mentor in a matrixed organization
                    • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at all levels of the organization
                    • Sound understanding of Scaling framework such as LeSS and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP
                    Experience will include:
                    • 8+ years of Business and/or Technology leadership and practical delivery experience
                    • 5+ years of experience as Scrum Master in an Agile development desired
                    • Experience with coaching large groups made up of all levels of team mates from entry level through director level engineers.
                    • Experience partnering with Sr Leadership/stakeholders across Enterprise/LOB
                    Required Skills:
                    • Demonstrated ability to acts as Scrum Master and influence policy for up to 3 teams and facilitate appropriate scrum events.
                    • Ability to flex approach based on the needs of the team/organization
                    • Ability to collaborate and influence across product group/domains to drive consensus and decision making
                    • Uses empathy; understand team dynamics and organizational boundaries / constraints, and resolving interpersonal conflicts within the team
                    • Ability to use and analyze data/organizational metrics to foster team’s continuous improvement.
                    • Solid and proven understanding of various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban & XP
                    • In-depth proficiency in facilitation, coaching and mentoring teams in a variety of settings
                    • In-depth experience in leading Design Thinking/Customer Journey mapping exercise
                    • Understanding of applying Scrum/Agile principles & practices in Product development and delivery organization
                    Business/Technical Knowledge:
                    • Possess the business acumen required to ensure that goals, scope, and product domain knowledge is shared and understood by everyone on the team as well as possible
                    • Technical knowledge of preferred programming practices (CI/CD, ATDD, Continuous Testing, etc.) in order to lead the team towards the right solutions and improvements.
                    • Familiar with common development design patterns or technologies such as Service oriented environments, Microservices, APIs, etc.
                    • Knowledge of customer-centered techniques including user research, UX and UI trends, design thinking, lean startup, customer journey and user story mapping.
                    • Knowledge of end to end product concepts including brand management, marketing, prospecting, account opening, enrollment, fulfillment, and servicing.
                    • Knowledge of end to end product development concepts including risk, audit, controls, and legal and compliance
