A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the backbone of our county correctional system's healthcare program, playing a critical role in ensuring that we provide the best possible care to inmates. Under the general guidance and direction of the Medical Contract Services and the jail administration, you evaluate the medical needs of inmates and provide comprehensive medical care. Along with the Sheriff and Duchesne County, you take your responsibility for the health of inmates very seriously and respect the dignity of all human beings under your care. Always vigilant about safety, you diligently observe jail security requirements at all times.
You are a professional who always conducts yourself in an orderly, respectful, and disciplined manner according to the Sheriff's Office's expectations. You are capable and quick to respond in emergency situations. Using your exceptional leadership skills and leading by example, you oversee the work of the correctional LPNs. It is a combination of your excellent communication, people, and technical skills that help you excel in this nursing position. You feel great about the important service that you provide to our community. No matter their story, the health of inmates in Duchesne County is in good hands under your watch.
