Job Description: JOB SUMMARY
The Market Development Manager will lead and executes the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) growth strategy to effectively earn and retain employer business within their region.
This individual serves as a key representative for Security Health Plan (SHP) health insurance benefits and Marshfield Clinic Health System's direct-to- employer services within the region. They will develop a positive working relationship with employers, community leaders, distribution channels and System leaders to assist in fostering such positive relationships and retain and yield growth for MCHS and SHP. The Market Development Manager will lead the market development team in setting and executing on a regional new business and retention plan. The Marshfield Development Manager will also direct responsibility for sales and retention of health insurance and direct-to- employer care delivery services. This individual will contribute to setting regional sales goals, reporting out progress on a regular basis. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, and Five years' experience in a sales/development capacity in an insurance industry or healthcare related field, or
- Associate's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, and Seven years' experience in sales/development capacity in an insurance industry or healthcare related field, or
- High School Diploma, and Nine years' experience in sales/development capacity in an insurance industry or healthcare related field.
Three years management experience within the health insurance industry. Experience with client retention management software and experience working with Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO's). Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with customer service. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required:
A valid license to sell health and life insurance in the State of Wisconsin or obtain within 90 days and maintain for the duration of employment. State of Wisconsin valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Preferred/Optional:
