        We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Social Enterprise department. The Business Development Manager will support the department by finding dynamic and resourceful ways to develop, expand, and implement growth opportunities for current and future social enterprises operated by the Osborne Association. The Business Development Manager is responsible for each step of the Business Development Cycle and will shape the entire strategy for business development.

        This position is will follow a Monday - Friday 9am-5pm schedule. It will be split between 40% in office work and 60% remote work temporarily and is subject to change with or without notice.
        Responsibilities
        • Create and implement an effective, proactive growth strategy designed to generate new business opportunities and drive rapid growth
        • Generate and qualify sales leads from multiple sources within the market and prepare sales action plans and strategies to achieve results
        • Secure initial and ongoing meetings and conduct strategic and effective sales presentations with key decision makers
        • Perform high-level business development activities, including prospecting, meeting 1:1 with potential customers, making presentations, negotiating contract terms, managing the quotation & proposal process for new projects, and successful closing Cultivate and grow strategic partnerships that will provide ongoing lead generation
        • Work directly with the Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions during client on-boarding
        • Utilize CRM software to track and report all information and activity related to developing new business
        • Perform other duties as required
        Education
        Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field strongly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalency with a minimum of five years of sales experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will be considered.
        Experience
        • 3+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
        • Experience achieving and exceeding goals and quotas
        • Experience in project management and/or sales, preferably in a start-up environment

        • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
        • High attention to detail and a focus on fact-based decision-making
        • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
        • Should be competitive, energetic, positive and self-motivated
        • Strong mix of tenacity and patience to help educate potential customers
        • Experience working with CRMs
        • Flexibility to travel locally
