Position Type: Direct Hire

The Analyst I will perform lab assays for in process monitoring via UV-Vis and PCR.   The position will also be responsible for sample receipt, shipping, and processing to outsource labs and the reserve program.

Additionally, the position will support sample preparation teams, complete investigations, and operations such as cell culture, lab equipment preventive maintenance, buffer preparation, supply inventory management, and general support tasks in order to allow the lab to continuously operate.  The position may support method transfers and lab investigations.

Important aspects of this role include excellent organization skills, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in an efficient, highly interactive, goal-oriented team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lab testing of UV-Vis and PCR samples.  Analysis of data.
• Sample processing and shipping
• Lab Support, Quality Systems and Documentation Support

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry or related discipline
• 1 year of relevant experience (or a Masters Degree) in the Biotechnology industry with emphasis in quality control (QC) testing.
• Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of QC testing requirements, methodology and equipment such as UV-Vis Spectroscopy, and PCR. Prefer detailed pipetting experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and USP regulations and a basic understanding of statistics.
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
