This Product Manager role will be responsible for defining and launching our next generation service platform in our Multi-Family Dwellings (MDU) segment. This role will assume leadership from ideation to successful launch, involving a cross-functional team that will be at the center of a fast paced, highly visible effort. The role will report to the Director of Product Management in the Spectrum Community Solutions group, but will operate in a highly matrixed environment with numerous key stakeholders. The role will interact with Sales, Customer Service, Field Operations, Billing, project managers, engineers, and software developers on a regular cadence. This role will also be required to engage with vendors and other 3rd parties in support of product development activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Responsible for understanding the multi-family housing market with a focus on the needs of property owners, property management staff and renters.
Responsible for understanding basic networking and WiFi technology, as well as an understanding of how IoT can be used in the multi-family housing market.
Stay on top of market trends and competitor feature sets in the multi-family technology space.
Capable of translating customer experiences into detailed requirements necessary to drive technical development and user interaction (UI) design.
Work with Data Intelligence to establish quality metrics and the processes/technology to quantify the performance of the platform and customer service.
Co-develop materials to educate and align the broader organization and executives on the specifics of and goals for the platform.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support service launch and ongoing operations of the business
Coordinate information gathering to translate high level process goals into specific sub-processes with appropriate documentation.
Develop communication plan for stakeholders and process participants.
Proactively identify opportunities to support and improve the product.
Support the development and communication of Product strategies dependent on new services/features to drive financial results. Work with engineering, product management peers, marketing and Sales stakeholders on implementing strategy.
Manage and develop product management staff.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Product Management and/or Product Development Experience Required, preferably in Cable, Telecommunications, Software or Web Services
