NATURE AND SCOPE: Provide professional Human Resources support to the workforce and support the necessary functions within the HR department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer service to hourly employees, as well as salaried supervisors/managers. (i.e., answer phones, make copies, distribute safety/GMP supplies, distribute paychecks, assist employees with forms, answer general questions regarding company policies & procedures.)
Serve as help placement for plant crewing needs - make replacements for absent employees, inform supervisor of changes in staffing daily.
Perform Payroll related duties - check and enter daily time cards for plant employees.
Logging of attendance occurrences.
Maintain personnel records in accordance with Company policies, procedures, State and Federal Laws (e.g. I-9 forms, personnel files, medical files, etc.)
Know and administer Company policies.
Cross train within the department as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of clerical experience or satisfactory substitute for experience.
Willing to work shift work, weekends and overtime as necessary. Must also be willing to rotate shifts as needs of plant and department change.
Experienced in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Good typing and keyboarding skills.
Excellent customer service talent and attitude.
Able to multi-task while under pressure.
Good organizational and clerical skills.
Accurate and timely follow-through.
Reliable self-starter, self-motivated.
Work with minimum supervision.
Excellent work ethic.
Able to handle sensitive information in a precise and confidential manner.
Excellent telephone and email etiquette.
Bilingual Spanish skills required.
Valid driver's license.
HOURS: Full Time. Schedule may vary dependent upon processing season. Overtime as required.
