Many jobs will include repair of STIHL small engines including: chainsaws, edger's, blowers, trimmers and other small engines. -Skills in disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and machines. -Performs all service tasks -Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments to be entered into our computer system. -Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation. -Participates in all training programs. -Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. -Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment, that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS -Experience working with small engines, two-stroke and four-stroke. -Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports (repair orders). -Knowledge of small engines. -Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with customers. -Ability to use store computer and various types of diagnostic equipment. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Ability to lift 60 lbs STORE OPERATIONS -Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment. -Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store. -Assist with maintaining back stock levels. -Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area. -Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise. -Assist with merchandise resets through the store. -Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.e. price changes, special orders. -Ensure signage is current throughout the store. -Operate forklift with proper training. -Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up. -Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
