A not-for-profit acute care healthcare facility located in upstate New York is currently searching for an experienced Assistant Director of Respiratory Services to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This community medical center is home to just under 100 licensed beds and is known to provide comprehensive clinical care for more than 20 medical and surgical specialties. This regionally known healthcare system offers a number of clinical specialties including emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, orthopedics, surgery, along with primary care services. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy will work hands on with the attending physician and other skilled therapists in regards to the planning and implementing of personalized patient care. This hospital is known to offer both inpatient and outpatient respiratory services on a 24-hour basis. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy will work within a Respiratory Services department that utilizes a number of testing including Pulmonary Function Testing, Bronchoprovocation Testing, Arterial Blood Gases, Pulse Oximetry, among many others tests.
The Assistant Director of Respiratory Services will work under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy will be responsible for providing respiratory services and pulmonary medicine to patients within the department. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy will work as a leader within the respiratory service line and will be expected to work in collaboration with other leadership teams throughout the hospital. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Services will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, staff education and evaluation, fiscal budget within the department, as well as quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the service line.
