The Data Warehouse Administrator is responsible for database performance (including ETL and analytics processes), data integrity, enterprise data warehouse solutions and troubleshooting. This position will work with database administrators and analysts to secure easy access to company data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee and not intended to reflect all duties performed. Translate business needs into technical specifications. Design, build and deploy BI solutions (i.e. reporting tools). Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy). Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes). Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting. Evaluate and improve existing BI systems. Write technical reporting specifications and design documents. Collaborate with teams to integrate systems. Prepare design for all informatica Teradata according to various ETL processes. Perform troubleshoot on all ETL processes and resolve issues effectively. Prepare appropriate status reports and submit to management. Analyze all data warehouse architecture goals and identify skill requirement for same. Develop both physical and logical data models. Prepare designs for database systems and recommend improvements for performance. Maintain and develop various database scripts and tools to facilitate automation process. Provide support to all data warehouse initiatives. Analyze all data warehouse activities and identify key resources for same. Design various ETL processes and perform tests on data. Define data standards and rules for Governance for the data warehouse Monitor processes and develop plans to capture and access. Develop and implement various work plans for projects. Evaluate all proposals requests and assist to improve structure of data warehouse. Assist with Informatica Administration Duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of related database administration experience. Experience in Gathering and finalizing requirements. Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining. In-depth understanding of database management systems and online analytical processing (OLAP). Experience creating design document to outline the implementation and develop the code. Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or RMiner. Automation experience utilizing SQL Server, Alteryx, Task Scheduler. RDMSs (relational database management systems) or foundational database skills. Experience with database management system software, especially Microsoft SQL Server. Experience using databases such as NoSQL and cloud computing. Scripting experience using command, batch, or like processes Experience with Oracle, Teradata, Informatica preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Serving reporting Services (SSRS). Ability to work with large volume databases. Ability to understand data models. Knowledge of data visualization and data migration. Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
