The YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County seeks a President and CEO who is a transformational leader of impeccable integrity who is committed to the YWCA mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
The President and CEO must be a passionate and inspiring leader who can embrace and creatively determine how to strategically intersect all aspects of the mission.
The individual must be an exemplary communicator as a speaker and writer with a minimum five years' experience as a senior leader of a nonprofit organization or substantial commercial enterprise. The President/CEO reports to the Board of Directors.

Collaboratively leads the development of a 3-5year Board approved strategic plan.
Works in partnership with the Board of Directors to develop policies consistent with the mission and vision.
Ensures that the organization is fiscally sound and financially accountable, including crafting a comprehensive budget and approach to securing private, corporate, and government contracts that maximize funding and provide sustainability and long-term growth for the organization.
Partner with the Board Nominating Committee in managing the recruitment and development of Board members and ensuring the continuity of volunteer leadership for the future.
Fosters an organizational commitment to diversity and inclusiveness among staff and volunteers. Develops appropriate successors for key staff roles.
Is a vocal, visible, and inspiring community leader with a commitment to improve the quality of life for women and families in need.
Commits to a Trauma Informed Care (TIC) organization-wide culture focused on being aware and responding to the impact of trauma. Emphasizes the importance of an environment that ensures safety, choice, autonomy and empowerment.
Ensures human resources and organizational infrastructure align with strategic goals.
Meets all YWCA USA and YWCA of NYS requirements of membership and utilizes relationships with sister YWCAs to engage in best practices in services, education and advocacy.
At least five years' experience in a senior executive leadership role within a large nonprofit organization or substantial commercial enterprise.
Experience in housing, adult and young adult services, and racial equity services preferable.
Demonstrated success with both traditional and innovative fundraising techniques preferable.

Proven ability to inspire and motivate others to action.
Proven ability to lead and manage a complex organization.
Bachelor's degree is required (Business Administration, Public Administration or another related field). An advanced degree with relevant experience is preferred.
