SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem
Dominion, 116 bed hospital offers a full range of treatment programs with a special focus on crisis intervention and stabilization through our inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Dominion is the only hospital in the region to offer unique children’s psychiatric programs. Our inpatient programs provide 24-hour nursing care along with the full spectrum of psychiatric services, while our partial hospitalization program provides a highly structured environment during the day that allows patients to return home at night.
This is a fast-paced ADULT pre and post -operative area where Electroconvulsive Therapy is performed.
Hours are 6am-2:30pm with no weekends, holidays or on-call.
• Takes vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
• Administers I.V. therapy safely and accurately as appropriate.
• Intervenes to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means as trained in a therapeutic manner. Calls codes as necessary.
• Consistently maintains the proper milieu of the ECT department through interventions, as appropriate

Education: Associate’s degree (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Licensure: Licensed as an Registered in Virginia or compact state.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. CPI completed as a part of orientation.
Experience: 2 years of ADULT PACU experience required
Peripheral IV initiation proficiency required
