Essential Job Function:

The Assistant Store Manager works closely with the Store Manager to run a convenience store and fuel site. Most stores are open 24/7 and leaders must be available to work a flexible schedule, which includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise store associates
• Maintain focus on excellent customer service
• Assist the Store Manager in hiring and training store personnel
• Create and submit store financial reports, monitor P&Ls
• Oversee cash handling and verify accounting accuracy
• Control merchandise and fuel inventories
• Assist with ordering and inventory
• Address employee grievances and disputes
• Maintain site appearance standards
• Implement and maintain health & safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

• 18+ years of age
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail management experience preferred
• Verifiable work history
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Communicate effectively in English (hear, speak, read, and write)
• Ability to safely lift 40+ lbs. to chest height
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
• Climb a step ladder, reach with arms above head, grasp with hands, bend, and crouch
• Use hands bilaterally & unilaterally
• Accurately select options from a touch screen monitor
• Accurately count US currency and make change
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs
• Multi-task and thrive in a dynamic retail environment
• Pass a pre-hire drug screen, background and credit check
