Our client, a leading provider of device insurance, warranty & support services, is currently seeking a Bank Reconciliations Analyst for a 3+ month contract position with the opportunity for extension.  The position is located in Nashville, TN.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hr. days/flexible start times.  Currently remote but may transition onsite 3 days a week.

 

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr

 

Summary:

 

Position is for a Bank Reconciliations Analyst, which is similar to a Staff Accountant that has a specialization in Bank Reconciliations.

• 2-4 years of experience with bank reconciliations.
• Resource should be self-motivated, have a high attention to detail, and strong communications in addition to working with a lot of bank reconciliations in a fast paced environment.
• Technology experience with Local DAX, D365, Bank Reconciliation modules, and Excel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare mid-month and month-end bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly bank account exception report
• Follow-up on outstanding bank reconciliation issues and ensure entries are made on a timely manner.
• Technology experience with Local DAX, D365, Bank Reconciliation modules, and Excel is required.
• Work with the Treasury department in setting up new bank accounts in the general ledger
• Primary contact for audit request for bank accounts
• Assist the accounting team in month end close and special projects.
• Identify best practices and create ideas for process improvements for bank accounts

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting or clerical experience
• 2 or 4-year BS/BA degree in finance or accounting is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and determination with a high level of accuracy
• Knowledge of good governance practices and controls for bank reconciliations
• A team-player who is proactive and can take ownership
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can meet tight deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft office and bank software modules
• Self-starter with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
