                  Job Description

                  Role Summary:
                  • The Health Systems Oncology Medical Affairs Director (HSO MAD), National is a therapeutic, disease, population health and health systems expert who develops on-going professional relationships with healthcare decision makers across key National pathway and provider organizations (e.g., pathway organizations, group purchasing organizations, large health systems).
                  • The HSO MAD, National provides accurate information across the full product portfolio, science, real-world evidence, and quality management in a balanced and credible manner consistent with the regulatory environment and the company's ethical standards. Through a deep understanding of the accounts' population health strategies, serves as the medical account lead, collaborating and coordinating with other Medical Affairs colleagues and select commercial roles, to bring relevant health care solutions to their assigned accounts.

                  Responsibilities and Primary Activities :
                  • Develop ongoing professional relationships with key decision makers in key National pathway and provider organizations to ensure access to medical and scientific information on the full company product portfolio and areas of therapeutic interest.
                  • Develop strategic medical account plans in partnership with the Integrated Account Management (IAM), Oncology Key Account Management (OKAM), and Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement (OCAR) Account Executive teams; execute medical activities in alignment with agreed plan.
                  • Serves as the internal medical subject matter expert for each assigned account, which enables strategic assessments and medical account management, through a complete and systematic communication process to the rest of USMA .
                  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD), Regional HSO MADs, and National Health Systems Medical Affairs Directors (HS MADs) regarding medical and scientific support needs in key health systems accounts.
                  • Serves as a resource for the Health Systems Oncology (HSO) Executive Director Medical Affairs (EDMA), HSO Field Alignment, Strategy and Training Leads (FASTL) and other members of Country Medical Affairs and commercial account management on relevant strategic planning.
                  • Provides account insights to headquarters via approved system of record.
                  • Attend and support scientific and medical meetings; prepare post-meeting deliverables.

                  Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience :

                  • Advanced healthcare/science doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm.D.)
                  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in a field-based medical affairs role exclusively in oncology working with regional and/or national payers, integrated delivery systems, oncology pathways, or scientific leaders OR 7+ years of clinical experience working within a cancer center OR with 4+ years of clinical experience working within a cancer center with BCOP credentials.
                  • Experience in organized healthcare system, including ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with key decision makers
                  • Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, US health care delivery system structure and function, pharmacoeconomics, disease management, quality management, value-based payment and health care delivery policy and trends
                  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to network, strong personal integrity, collaborative mindset, and a strong customer focus
                  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment, and have demonstrated project leadership abilities
                  • Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry

                  • Formal training in health economics and/or outcomes research or real-world evidence generation
                  • Oncology residency training and/or board certified in oncology
